The latest spy shots of the Mahindra BE.07 suggest that the electric SUV is inching closer to its official debut. The vehicle surprised many by its camo appearance when spotted during testing at Mahindra’s SUV Proving Track (MSPT) in Chennai and is believed to be one of the brand’s most high-end SUVs to come on the market. The camouflage conceals a number of things, but the design is pretty true to the BE.07 concept that was first introduced by Mahindra. While it was unclear how much of the concept’s styling the automaker has kept, the production-ready version looks similar to the concept in terms of its bold coupe-SUV body styling and muscular lines, suggesting the company retained much of the show’s arresting styling.
Mahindra BE.07 Spied with Premium Frameless Doors

One of the most jaw-dropping bits of information offered up in the latest spray has been the use of frameless doors, a standard feature on luxury vehicles. If the ‘BE.07′ prototype concept is retained as it is in its production version, the latest Mahindra is expected to be one of the first mainstream vehicles in India to feature frameless doors, which will certainly provide a premium feel to the car’s concept. Further test mules also sport flush-fitting door handles that are sleekly housed in the bodywork to improve aerodynamics in addition to giving that SUV a contemporary appearance. Large dual-tone alloy wheels and body cladding around the wheel arches, a sporty rear spoiler that incorporates a rear wiper, and some temporary LED lighting units further demonstrate that the BE.07 is in its relatively final development stages.

Dimensions and Road Presence
The size of the upcoming electric SUV is essentially the same as in the concept SUV. The Mahindra BE.07 will be around 4,565 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall, set upon a big 2,775 mm wheelbase. These measurements are likely to reflect a wider cabin that provides sufficient legroom and shoulder room for passengers for both short and long-distance travel. The coupe-inspired topline also ensures a distinct appearance on the road while, at the same time, remaining functional.
Fighter Jet-Style Cockpit Enhances the Cabin

While the interior was mostly concealed in the latest test mule, earlier previews and previous sightings suggest Mahindra will provide a feature-packed cabin in the upcoming BE.07. Further, it is expected to come with a very futuristic cockpit featuring a triple 12.3-inch display layout blending the digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen, and passenger display. The dashboard is likely to feature premium materials and a driver-focused design inspired by fighter jet cockpits.

In addition, the SUV will feature a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car systems, multi-zone climate, and an advanced ADAS package. However, Mahindra has not officially confirmed the feature list yet. Based on expectations, the BE.07 is likely to offer most of the premium features already available in the XEV 9e.
Battery Capacity and Expected Range
The Mahindra BE.07 would be underpinned by the company’s dedicated INGLO electric platform, which has been slated for next-gen electric vehicles. The SUV should be available with two battery pack options, a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh one. The larger battery pack may be able to sustain a driving range of around 600 km if fully charged, though testing in the real world will likely give the SUV a range of around 500 km. The SUV is also expected to offer fast DC charge support, which will enable owners to charge the battery quickly.
Mahindra BE.07 Spied to Use Mahindra’s INGLO Platform
While the firm hasn’t specified when exactly the BE.07 will be launched, the band of road tests is getting more frequent, which means that development is finally close to completion. With its launch, Mahindra has further bolstered its expanding lineup of INGLO-powered electric vehicles and is expected to compete with other electric systems like the Tata Harrier EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3, and Maruti Suzuki eVitara.
What Autovenger Thinks
The latest spy shots provide clear indication that Mahindra will be focusing on combining the futuristic design with practicality and premium technology. The Mahindra BE.07 looks like an electric SUV with all the requisite attributes to become one of the most awaited EV one launches in the country, with features such as a coupe-inspired design, frameless doors, flush door handles, a spacious cabin, high-end electronics, and a long-range electric powertrain. The BE.07 would be a competitive contender in the fast-growing premium electric vehicle segment if Mahindra were able to match the design, technology, and range he has promised.
