Mahindra has added a new breed to the appeal of the flagship electric SUV with the launch of the XEV 9e Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst model. The new one is in a satin matte color, which provides a more premium and sophisticated road presence to the SUV. Designed for buyers who want their car to look different from the crowd, the new color enhances the road presence of the XEV 9e while maintaining its bold coupe-SUV character.
Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst: What’s New?
The most significant enhancement of this new edition is the Satin Desert Myst paintwork finishes. In contrast to the standard glossy paint, the satin finish provides a sexy and stunning look, which varies a bit with different lighting situations. A premium touch is added to the SUV’s sharp LED lighting, aerodynamic shape, flush door handles, sculpted body lines, and large alloy wheels, making the XEV 9e even more exclusive.
Apart from the newly introduced Satin Desert Myst finish, the XEV 9e offers a variety of eye-catching exterior colors that include Desert Myst, Everest White, Tango Red, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, and Ruby Velvet. The addition of a premium satin finish extends Mahindra’s color options to even more opportunities to get your SUV to look your way without sacrificing the bold and future-facing character.
Cabin and Features Same as the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition
Like the XEV 9e, the Cineluxe version maintains the premium atmosphere by featuring luxurious upholstery, a triple-screen dashboard, connected car features, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seating, multizone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a top-of-the-range sound system. Multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a series of safety features add to the overall ownership experience.
Safety Features Remain Unchanged
The suite of safety features is identical to the standard XEV 9e and unaffected. It includes seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree surround-view camera, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, driver drowsiness detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. These features provide a high level of occupant protection and driver assistance to both city and highway driving.
Retains the Same Battery and Motor Setup as the XEV 9e
In terms of powertrains and performance, the Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst is powered by the same engine that is installed in the XEV 9e Cineluxe edition. This means the Satin edition is packed with a 79-kWh Li-ion battery pack and a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor that delivers 282 bhp of power and a peak torque of 380 Nm. According to Mahindra, the car gets a range of 656 km on a single charge as certified by the company’s MIDC (Mahindra Driven Consulance) MIDC-certified range. Under real-world driving performance, the company suggests that the SUV actually achieves a driving range above 500 km, one of the longest in its class.

Depending on the variants you choose, the XEV 9e is also backed by a battery pack of a 59 kWh lithium-ion battery, mated with a RWD electric motor, that delivers 231 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque. With a driving range of 542 km on a single charge (according to MIDC), it is sufficient for those who are interested to buy one at a lower price tag yet don’t sacrifice its performance or daily driving experience.

Mahindra XEV 9e charging time
The XEV 9e Cineluxe can be charged by an 11.2 kW (AC) home charger or a 7.2 kW (AC) home charger. Using the 11.2 kW, the 79 kWh battery pack can be fully charged in about 8 hours, while the 7.2 kW charger can charge the same battery pack in 11.7 hours. Further, another battery pack of 59 kWh can be fully charged in 6 to 8.7 hours using the 11.2 kW and 7.2 kW AC home chargers. The SUV also supports 180 kW DC fast charging, which refills the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes, which is very convenient for long-distance journeys since drivers need not spend as much time charging the battery.

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst Price
The newly introduced satin paint finish does not affect the SUV’s pricing. The Mahindra Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst is also priced at ₹29.35 lakh (ex-showroom), like the previous model named Cineluxe Edition. The new Satin Desert Myst finish is available with no extra cost and is a great option for those looking for the more exclusive option at the same price.

Autovenger’s Verdict
With its new Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Satin Desert Myst edition, Mahindra has incorporated one more premium option to the XEV 9e. High-tech interior, impressive driving range, feature-laden cabin, and Satin Desert The Myst color option makes it an attractive choice for anyone seeking a cool and luxurious electric SUV.
