Toyata Highlander Ev 2027

Toyota has officially unveiled the next-generation Toyota Highlander Ev , and it’s a major step forward for the brand’s SUV lineup. Known globally as one of Toyota’s most trusted and family-friendly three-row SUVs, the Highlander is now entering a bold new era with a more modern design, upgraded technology, and a strong focus on electrification. The latest reveal highlights Toyota’s ambition to compete aggressively in the growing electric SUV segment, offering buyers a spacious, premium, and future-ready vehicle that still keeps the Highlander’s practical DNA intact.

Interior: Comfort, Space and Practicality:

Inside, the Toyota Highlander is all about comfort, space, and practicality. It features a generous three-row design that can be occupied by seven or eight people and easily accommodate large families. The cabin is high-end, featuring soft-touch materials along with a straight-forward dashboard and softly padded seats that remain plush on longer treks.

Modern technology plays a key role inside the Highlander. A big touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless smartphone connectivity, and multiple USB charging ports and optional premium audio mean there’s convenience and entertainment for everybody aboard. In general, the interior is a pleasing compromise of practicality for day-to-day use, modern features, and Toyota build quality.

Exterior Design: Bold SUV Styling

On the outside, the Toyota Highlander combines a bold SUV stance with stylish and modern design that commands attention without appearing too aggressive. Up front, the broad grille and sharp LED headlamps with sculpted bumper lend it a bold and premium stance, while clean lines running along the sides are in line with modern design sensibilities aimed at increasing aerodynamic efficiency. The subtly flared wheel arches and the 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance its size and strength, confirming its status as a proper family SUV, not just another city-dwelling crossover.

From the side, the Highlander is well proportioned with a long wheelbase, suggesting there’s plenty of cabin space inside. The addition of chrome, roof rails, and understated character lines gives it sophistication, while the gently raked roofline keeps it looking trim without compromising third-row headroom. The rear design is equally polished, featuring wraparound LED tail lamps, a wide tailgate, and a neatly integrated bumper that gives the SUV a planted, stable appearance.

Toyota Highlander Battery Options and Range:

Toyota is gearing up to move the Highlander into a new chapter with the all-electric 2027 Toyota Highlander. It’s the first fully battery-powered three-row SUV from Toyota, and it’s been designed to deliver strong performance while keeping practicality at its core. It’s also set to rival state-of-the-art electric SUVs with the perfect combination of family practicality, driving refinement, and battery capability.

If recent reports are to be believed we could expect the electric Highlander to offer two battery options a 77 kWh unit and a larger 95.8 kWh pack. The SUV is also anticipated to be available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive setups, making it suitable for various types of driving needs, including daily city driving, touring on the highway, and driving in rough weather.

When it comes to range, the smaller battery can offer up some 435–462 km, and the larger battery gives an estimate of approaching 515 km on one full charge (depending on driving conditions and variant). The Highlander EV is anticipated to also get fast-charging capability, so drivers won’t lose much time waiting for the battery pack to recharge at a DC fast charger. That makes it a good choice for families who desire all the advantages of electric driving but without losing too much sleep over long distances.

Safety Features: Toyota Safety Sense Explained

The Toyota Highlander has always been a standout when it comes to your safety, and the recent research proves just that, as Toyota still leads in providing advanced standard safety across the majority of their vehicles. It comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense, which, among other features, includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. These attributes not only alleviate driver stress but also provide comfort to families, as safety is a primary concern for most family car buyers. Thanks in part to Toyota’s reputation for reliability, the Highlander tightens its grip on value, always placing among the top SUVs for long-term ownership.

Toyota Highlander EV Variants: XLE and Limited Trims:

When it debuts as the solid-state three-row SUV, the Highlander EV is anticipated to come in at least two key editions: XLE and Limited. The entry-level trim will be the XLE, which can be equipped with either front-wheel drive (FWD) and a 77 kWh battery or all-wheel drive (AWD) with either the 77 kWh or the larger 95.8 kWh battery. The Limited trim will be the higher-end option and includes AWD and a larger 95.8 kWh battery right out of the gate, a longer estimated driving range, as well as more comfort and tech perks. These are intended to give potential buyers a choice between an entry-level car and a higher-spec car with more performance and more stuff.

Expected Launch Date:

The all-electric 2027 Toyota Highlander is scheduled to go on sale in late 2026 and into early 2027 in major markets like the United States, with production already underway in Kentucky.

Expected Price :

Pricing has not been officially announced by Toyota. But based on industry estimates, the Highlander EV will likely start in the mid-$50,000 range (or north of $55,000), at least in the United States, putting it reasonably close to competitive three-row electric SUVs.
