BMW F 450 GS Price In India

The BMW F 450 GS features a rugged GS-inspired design with a tall stance, signature beak-style front, and sharp LED lighting. Its 19/17-inch wheel setup, long-travel suspension, and solid build quality make it ready for both touring and off-road adventures.

Powered by a 420cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, the BMW F 450 GS produces around 48 bhp and 43 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This setup delivers smoother performance than single-cylinder rivals, with strong mid-range punch for highway cruising and enough low-end torque for off-road trails, making it a well-balanced adventure tourer.

Feature wise , it is well-equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, traction control, and ABS Pro. It also offers premium touches like adjustable levers, heated grips, and an optional quickshifter, while higher variants add sportier suspension and off-road-focused enhancements.

In term of safety features, it is packed with advanced safety tech, including ABS Pro (cornering ABS) for stable braking even while leaning, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for better grip, and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) to assist in emergency braking. It also gets Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) to prevent rear-wheel slip during aggressive downshifts, along with multiple riding modes that adjust ABS and traction settings based on conditions, making it safer both on-road and off-road.

The BMW F 450 GS competes in India’s mid-capacity ADV segment against popular options like the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, along with premium alternatives such as the Honda NX500. It also overlaps with bikes like the Triumph Tiger 400 range, making this segment highly competitive in terms of performance, features, and pricing.

Variant-wise Features

It is offered in three variants, each adding more equipment:

  • Base Variant: Comes with essentials like a 6.5-inch TFT display, LED lights, traction control, ABS Pro, heated grips, adjustable levers, and basic riding modes include Rain, Road, Enduro.
  • Exclusive Variant: Builds on the base with off-road-focused upgrades like knuckle guards, engine guard, off-road footpegs, plus Shift Assistant Pro (quickshifter) and additional riding modes like Enduro Pro.
  • GS Trophy Variant: The top-spec trim adds sport suspension, Easy Ride Clutch, rally-style windscreen, aluminium engine guard, and enhanced off-road hardware for serious adventure riding.

The BMW F 450 GS is priced between 4.70 lakh and 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in three variants, Base (₹4.70 lakh), Exclusive (₹4.90 lakh), and the top-spec GS Trophy (₹5.30 lakh). There is a significant difference between each variant in terms of features and equipment, while the engine is the same across all variants.

For a twin-cylinder adventure bike, the BMW F 450 GS offers a claimed mileage of 26 km/l (ARAI). Depending on your riding style and terrain, you can expect slightly lower figures in reality, especially when riding off-road or on an aggressive highway.
