Honda’s first full-size production electric motorcycle, the WN7, debuted at EICMA 2025 and now looks set to be patented in India on May 8, 2026. According to the latest news, on May 8, it raises the possibility that in India Honda could be preparing the premium EV bike. Here is what the future Honda WN7 electric motorcycle is likely to be.
Eye-Catching Exterior Design:

At the front, the bike features compact dual LED projector (2 Eye LED projector) headlights with a horizontal DRL setup, followed by a sculpted tank section and sharp body panels for sporty looks. The Honda has an equally modern profile from a frameless, lightweight chassis with a single-sided swingarm. The addition of an upright riding posture, wide handlebar, and minimalist tail section enhances its performance-bike urban character.
Tire-wise, the Honda WN7 runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends for a blend of nimbler cornering and highway steadiness. In terms of tires, the bike will use a 120/70R17 front and wider 150/60R17 rear tire, which should ensure sticky grip, sporty cornering, and better road presence.
Modern Features For Comfort:

The Honda WN7 delivers a plethora of modern utility and safety equipment to enhance not only convenience but also rider confidence. It is equipped with a 5-inch TFT display and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, which enables Bluetooth integration to access navigation, call information, music content, and notifications.

The WN7 also features a backlit multi-function handlebar switch for ease of operation while riding and a USB Type-C charging socket under the seat. Other utility features include keyless smart start, regenerative braking adjustment, ride modes, and a walk-assist function for easier parking, rolling along at low speed.
In terms of riding mode, it offers 4 modes, including STANDARD mode for everyday use, SPORT mode for dynamic rides, RAIN mode for extra stability for better grip on wet roads, and EKON mode for extended cruising.
Safety Features That Keep You Safe While Riding:

Safety highlights of the WN7 include dual disc brakes with ABS, traction control, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), and auto-cancelling indicators, which switch off after a turn or lane change.
According to the reports, the motorcycle also features IMU-based cornering ABS for improved brake stability when riding aggressively. A lightweight frameless chassis, a combination of a low center of gravity, and wide tires provide further overall stability and handling to make the WN7 practical for local as well as highway usage with confidence.
Battery And Performance Of Honda WN7 :
The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle will reportedly be able to match the performance of a mid-range 600cc petrol bike while still being able to deliver that instant torque sensation typical of much bigger motorcycle engines. It is claimed to use an approximately 50 kW liquid-cooled electric motor making nearly 100 Nm of torque, allowing for brisk acceleration as well as solid freeway ability.
The electric bike is equipped with a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that claims around 130–140 km of riding range on one full charge. Like practicality, Honda has embedded fast charging in which the battery can go from 20% to 80% charge in around half an hour, making the WN7 suitable for everyday city rides and weekend touring alike.
How Much Time To Take Full Charge:
The battery can charge from 20 to 80% in around half an hour with a CCS2 fast charger, ideal for fast top-ups over long-haul trips. The bike also supports Type 2 home charging, letting you fill the battery from 0 to 100% in around 2.5 to 3 hours on a wall box charger; or it may take longer if plugged into a normal home socket. The charging system has been designed by Honda to make deployment easy and convenient, adapting the power unit for riding during your downtime.
Honda WN7 Varients Available In Global Market:
Based on European licence categories, there are said to be two distinct global variants of the Honda WN7. The traditional high-performance variant is equipped with an 18 kW rated motor putting out up to 50 kW peak power, aimed at riders looking for performance akin to a 600cc motorcycle. To meet the needs of new riders and urban courier use, Honda is also expected to add a low-powered 11 kW model for A1 licence holders. All the models are expected to retain the same futuristic design, TFT display, connected features and fast-charging technology but will vary in power output as well as top speed.
The 11 kW Honda WN7 is anticipated to have a top speed of approximately 120 km/h, while the more powerful variant with 50 kW achieves almost 129 km/h. In terms of acceleration, where the base model hits an indicated 80 km/h in about five seconds, the higher-performance one will achieve such speeds in just 3.9 seconds, resulting in much faster and sharper highway riding performance.
Expected Price Of Honda WN7:
Expected global launch date is 2026, with an appearance in the UK and European markets expected ahead of other markets. Honda has revealed the WN7 in the UK at a price tag of £12,999, which translates to about ₹15.5–16.7 lakh for India.
However, Honda has confirmed through reports that WN7 has been patented in India, which might be an indication of its launch at some point in the future. The WN7 is expected to be priced as a large premium performance import electric motorcycle when eventually introduced in India.
