The MG Majestor is the highly awaited flagship SUV from MG Motor India, generating significant buzz among the SUV buyers and enthusiasts prior to its launch in India. Standing above the Gloster, the Majestor is being pitched as a rugged, premium three-row SUV that will go head-to-head with segment giants such as the Toyota Fortuner and the Skoda Kodiaq. As the official release date is confirmed to be 12th February 2026, there is much curiosity about what it will look like and what features it will offer.

Exterior Design & Styling Details:

The MG Majestor takes an aggressive , muscular stance. It comes with an aggressive Majestic Matrix grille featuring gloss-black elements, sharp Falcon-style LED DRLs, and split headlamps. The body has flared wheel arches, chunky cladding, silver skid plates , and 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels. Black roof rails, door handles, and a linked LED taillight setup finish off the rear. MG claims the Maxus D90 is India’s longest, widest, and tallest SUV in its three-row segment, built on the Maxus D90 platform.

Interior Design & Comfort Features:

Inside the cabin, the Mg Magestor is expected to feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a  digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and connected-car tech. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a premium sound system , multiple USB Type-C ports, and a multifunctional steering wheel.

Powertrains:

Under the hood, the MG Majestor is expected to powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that churns out  around 218 hp and 480 Nm torque coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV could also feature rear-wheel drive and selectable 4WD with terrain models, to cater for different on-road as well as off-road conditions.

Mg Magestor Milage:

MG Motor India has not yet released official MG Majestor mileage figures. Considering the SUV’s engine size and kerb weight, expect real-world diesel figures to range from 10–12 kmpl, depending on driving conditions, which is acceptable for a large three-row SUV.

Safety Features :

While official safety kit details remain unconfirmed, the Majestor is expected to include  Level 2 ADAS , adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. Apart from this it features multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring, and ABS with EBD. Multiple airbags.

Variants and Color Options:

The official variant and colors for the New MG Majestor have not been confirmed by MG Motor India. But leaks and market expectations indicate multiple versions with varying comfort, tech, and drivetrain options. Theoretical buyers should probably hope for a few exterior colors and the option between 2WD and 4WD powertrain choices.

Mg Magestor Price In India:

MG Majestor price in India should range from ₹40 lakh to ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), varying depending on the variant and features. With 40-46 lakh expected for the entry variants and prices above ₹50 lakh for top spec. Full pricing will be disclosed on launch day.

Launch Details:

MG Motor India has now officially announced that the Majestor will be launched on February 12, 2026. The car will be available for booking immediately after the unveil and customers can reserve it through MG dealerships and the company’s website as well.

Who Should Buy This Vehicle?

For buyers who need a large three-row SUV with luxurious features, effective highway performance, and an authoritative presence on the road, it’s something to consider. It’s a fit for both families and adventure enthusiasts who prefer comfort and technology.

Expert Verdict:

With its aggressive styling, feature-rich cabin, and powerful performance, the MG Majestor is a worthy competitor in India’s premium SUV space. The exact value proposition is going to be much clearer when we have price and mileage figures, but the Majestor, it seems, will go toe-to-toe with established rivals like the Fortuner and Kodiaq thanks to an aggressive positioning as well as modern tech.
