Tata Avinya Spied

Tata Motors is always a step closer to introducing its futuristic Avinya EV and this newest spy video shot by Namaste Motor provides one of the clearer views into the electric SUV that’s planning to launch soon. While the prototype is still very much camouflaged, the images provide some amazing exterior details, improved dimensions and a peek of the interior. But these new test drives indicate a rapid development pace, even if Tata Motors is still withholding official car specs.

The test mule’s size and length come as a surprise, as its large SUV-like proportions and long wheel house grab attention as soon as it is viewed. The Avinya is not only more expensive than Tata’s existing electric vehicles, but it is also considerably upscale even with its camouflage.

The SUV’s coupe inspired roofline, ground clearance and muscular body exude a road presence. A large rear overhang further suggests that it has plenty of room inside, making the Avinya a family car that’s built for money.

Key Highlights

  • Large premium crossover proportions
  • Long wheelbase for improved cabin space
  • Coupe-inspired sloping roofline
  • High ground clearance
  • Aerodynamic alloy wheels
  • Flush-style door handles appear to be present

The Front Design is Futuristic.

The most significant feature of the new spy images is the front lights that are illuminated. Vertically-mounted LED headlights remain easy to see in camouflage. The front fascia mostly covers the vehicle but the grill line is closed off, which is an indication of its being fully electric. Also viewable is the wide lower air intake, lending the SUV snappy good looks.

Front Design Highlights

  • Vertical LED headlamps
  • Closed-off EV front fascia
  • Wide lower bumper opening
  • Upright SUV stance
  • Premium road presence

Side Profile Reveals Practical Design.

The side aspect shows the importance given by Tata on the cabin space. The big rear doors will help passengers access the vehicle, and blacked-out pillars will give the vehicle a floating roof effect. Conventional body-mounted ORVMs are also being used on the prototype when put to the test.

The side profile gives some idea of how much accommodation Tata has prioritised for the cabin. Large rear doors will aid the flow of passengers, and blacked out pillars will help establish a floating roof feel. Conventional ORVM’s are also installed on the body during tests on the prototype.

  • Long wheelbase
  • Floating roof design
  • Large rear doors
  • Body-mounted ORVMs
  • Large aerodynamic wheels

Rear Gets Connected Lighting

Most of the rear of the vehicle is covered with camouflage but a linked LED light bar is visible. The rear also seems to be clad in a built-in roof spoiler and a broad-style tailgate, which will provide a generous amount of luggage space.

Rear Highlights

  • Connected LED taillight signature
  • Roof-mounted spoiler
  • Wide tailgate
  • Upright rear windshield

Panoramic Sunroof & Premium Cabin Spotted

The panoramic sunroof is clearly visible, while the interior seems to have a light beige theme. The very large glass area ensures a spacious airy cabin. But the interior design ,especially the infotainment screen and steering wheel is concealed from view in the dashboard layout.

Interior Highlights

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Light-coloured cabin theme
  • Large glass area
  • Spacious cabin expected

What These Spy Shots Implies

Even if Tata Motors has not revealed the specific details, the prototype is the latest evidence of the development of the Avinya as a high-end electric SUV that emphasizes luxury, comfort, and futuristic design. The long wheelhouse along with the streamlined aerodynamics and a high design language suggest that it might be one of Tata’s flagship EV brands when it is officially introduced.

What Is Still Unknown?

The latest spy footage does not reveal the following information:

  • Battery pack capacity
  • Driving range
  • Power output
  • Charging speed
  • ADAS features
  • Dashboard design
  • Infotainment system
  • Launch timeline
  • Expected price

My Point Of View Regarding Tata Avinya:

The latest Tata Avinya spy shots offer another exciting preview of Tata Motors’ upcoming premium electric SUV. While the camouflage continues to hide many design elements, the long-wheelbase proportions, panoramic sunroof, connected LED lighting and futuristic styling already point towards a sophisticated EV. As testing continues across India, more details are expected to emerge in the coming months, bringing us closer to Tata’s next-generation electric flagship.
