Kia India has announced officially that it has started teasing the all-new Kia Syros EV, and the first Television Commercial (TVC) has already gained a lot of attention from the car lovers. Rather than revealing everything, the brand has opted to take a film-like approach to convince buyer attention toward the SUV’s impressive, futuristic design. With the tagline “You’re Closer Than You Think,” the teaser suggests that the official launch is now just around the corner.

Emotion, rather than specifications, is the main target of the TVC, with the dramatic lighting of the shots, close-up framing, and sleek city backdrop giving the SUV its modern personality. The majority of the vehicle has not been revealed; however, one can clearly notice the signature LED lights, confident hints on the SUV, and the aerodynamic shape of the vehicle. The commercial not only plays with curiosity but also reinforces a Kia vision for an electric premium future.

A connected LED daytime running light system, an EV-specific closed front grille, classy alloy wheels, clean body lines, and a clean rear design will all be part of the Kia Syros EV. The styling features are in keeping with Kia’s new design language for the global market and suggest that the SUV will sport a blend of good low-level presence and greater aerodynamic finesse.

The Syros EV will be packed with technology inside the cabin and boast a premium experience. According to industry reports, it could be equipped with a very big and high-resolution dual-screen display, a completely digital instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, sunshine and darkness ambiance control, a panoramic sunroof, and luxury upholstery. These attributes will help to make the Syros EV one of the most capable E-SUVs in its class.

Although Kia hasn’t yet revealed the exact battery size, the battery size in the SUV is likely to range from 45 kWh to 55 kWh. The driving range, estimated between 400 km and 500 km, will differ according to the variant and driving cycle. In addition to this, the Syros EV is expected to feature fast-charging capabilities and electric smoothness, making it ideal for long trips and commuting purposes.

Another area we are anticipating the upcoming electric SUV to excel is safety. The Syros EV might be equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera with three zones of vision, front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and an advanced Level-2 ADAS package. Other safety tech will likely include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking.

The Kia Syros EV is likely to compete well in the emerging EV SUV segment in India, with an ex-showroom price range of ₹16 lakh to ₹22 lakh. After launch, it will compete with popular models like the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG Windsor EV, and other upcoming electric SUVs in the segment.

The Kia Syros EV TVC is more than a brand-new promotional video; it’s an indication that Kia’s all-new electric SUV is close to its official launch. Kia has managed to provoke expectations among consumers without giving away technical data, leaving only glimpses into the design. If the delivery meets its intended specifications, added value, superior safety sensors and systems, and competitive pricing live up to the expectations, the Syros EV is one of the most promising EV launches to look forward to in India this year.
